Entering the giveaway

You can enter with a Whatnot username without a Vault account. Use your own exact username. Usernames are self-reported; this page does not verify control of a Whatnot account. No purchase is needed to use this entry page.

You may submit more than once. Each submission is recorded, but the draw uses one spot per unique username, ignoring letter case, leading @ and surrounding spaces. Distinct underscores, periods and hyphens are preserved. Entry closes when the host pulls the giveaway. Entries received after closing are not included.

What we record

We record server receipt times for page openings, submissions and activity events; a random first-party browser ID stored in a secure cookie for up to 90 days; separate visit IDs; and your browser’s user agent, language, reported time zone and referring site origin when available. We store no referring URL query strings. Browser-reported navigation and button times are kept separately from server times.

We also record your IP address and approximate city, region and country if supplied by the hosting provider. Location may be unavailable. An IP is a network address, not your street address. We do not request GPS, passwords, contact lists or invasive device fingerprints. No external analytics or IP-lookup service receives this activity.

Page activity and session endings

While the page is visible, it sends an activity heartbeat about every 20 seconds. It also attempts to report when it is hidden or left. Browsers may omit those signals, especially when an app or phone closes. The last heartbeat or exit signal is evidence of observed page activity, not a guaranteed session end time. The page cannot see when a link was clicked inside another app; the first server page request and the browser-reported navigation time are the available measures.

Use and retention

Only the giveaway owner can access the detailed activity and network records. These help review duplicate submissions and possible shared browsers or networks. Shared activity does not establish who owns an account, and it does not automatically exclude anyone.

Detailed browser, visit and network records are retained for 90 days and removed during regular site activity. Entry usernames, entry timestamps and saved draw results remain in giveaway history. Your entered username may appear on the public wheel and winner screen. All unique names in a completed draw are visible on that draw’s page.

The draw

The host’s draw closes entries and freezes the unique-name pool. The server uses secure randomness to select one name with equal probability. The wheel animates that saved result. Refreshes and repeated draw requests keep the same winner.
